Brokerage Market in May: Yacht Sales Rise to Nearly €1B
The yacht brokerage market picked up significant momentum in May, with total sales of yachts 24 metres and above reaching €927.5 million. That's a massive increase from April's €163 million, as buyers rushed to conclude purchases before the height of the summer cruising season.
Compared to May last year, the market has shifted gears. Up from €502.8 million in May 2024, this year's figures are a gain of nearly 85%. This demonstrates a steep rising trend.

Two Feadship show-stopping sales drove May's healthy total. The just-delivered 75.8-metre Les Cinq and the 83.5-metre hybrid Savannah—the latter with an asking price of €140 million and the former of €172.5 million—were the month's top-level transactions. Combined, they accounted for more than a third of May's overall sales value.
In addition to the show-stoppers, nine other 50-metre-plus yachts were sold in May. Joining them were the 55-metre Amels Galene at €39.95 million and the 55.8-metre Codecasa My Legacy, which is for sale at €36 million—both contributing to an already hectic month of major yacht sales.57 yachts were sold in May—an increase from April's 32—showing mounting momentum within the brokerage market. The majority of the sales were from the 24- to 50-metre segment, which features the off-market sale of the 49.9-metre Fantasea by Benetti, which is now rechristened Mine Games.

The total number of new listings decreased slightly from the previous month, with 55 yachts with a total asking price of €631.3 million coming onto the market. The biggest new arrival was the 85-meter Lürssen Gigia at €169 million. Other new additions at the top end of the price range were the 60-meter Abeking & Rasmussen Scott Free at €43.5 million and the 60-meter Benetti Vision at €33 million.
Price reductions in May were fewer, suggesting a possible alignment of buyer and seller expectations. Nevertheless, 73 price reductions occurred, totaling a market reduction of €70.8 million. The most significant price adjustment was that of Feadship's Excellence V, whose asking price was reduced by $10 million to $32 million.
Cumulatively, May's figures reflect a renewed surge of confidence, with buyers moving aggressively to purchase yachts in advance of the start of the summer cruising season.
